Out of fear that I annoy my friends and acquaintances with long emails expressing the "new revelations" and "profound insights" I experience from day to day, I've decided to start a blog.
The goal is to document the way in which my thinking evolves over the course of the next few years. I'm entering a masters of theology program, watching my daughters grow up, watching myself grow old, and it seems worth while to document this process.
The comments will be turned off and I will not make my email available. The internet is awash with hate and trolls who fire out cheap shots and ignorance as frequently as I exhale carbon dioxide. While I will weigh in on current controversies, and attempt to "pontificate from on high," my intent here is largely to create a document my children will be able to use, after I'm gone, to get a better sense of who I was and what I thought about.
